Sherri Koehler is an highly experienced instructor (ERYT500), Integrated Movement Therapist, and certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT). She’s taught yoga grounded in loving-kindness and joy for over 13 years. She is dedicated to fostering compassion and befriending the body on, and off, the mat.
A Matter of Balance Lay Coach Training, 2 day intensive offered by Kayt Zundel, director of the ThinkFirst Oregon Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Prevention Program at Oregon Health Sciences University. Teaches lay coaches to offer short workshop on fall prevention as well as the 8-week, evidence-based fall prevention course, A Matter of Balance. Program incorporates movement as well as mindfulness, assertiveness, and space management techniques to adults.
Bedside Yoga – Yoga and End-of-Life, 5 day intensive from Integrated Movement Therapy founder, Molly Lannon Kenny, focusing on care for people at the end of life, offering solace, presence and appropriate movement and touch. Hands-on training sessions focused on providing interventions, including passive stretching and gentle Thai-yoga compressions.
Teaching Yoga to Seniors, 4-day intensive from Yoga Therapists Carol Krucoff (Duke Integrative Medicine) and Kimberly Carson (OHSU) covering health conditions common to seniors, such as heart disease, arthritis and osteoporosis. Hands-on training sessions focusing on appropriately modifying postures for safe and effective work with older adults, with emphasis on individuals new to yoga.

Integrated Movement Therapy, 500-hour Training By IMT Instructors: Molly Lannon Kenny, EB Ferdig, Rachel Plies, RW Alves, and Leigh Drake. Trainings held in Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, and Leavenworth, Washington. IMT is a healing method based in yoga and neuroscience that helps people make behavior shifts to move toward optimal well being. IMT sessions use movement, meditation, breath techniques, and mindfulness practices to facilitate the exploration of the whole mind / body / spirit system.

Yoga for Trauma Resilience workshop held at Unfold Yoga, presented by Living Yoga. A one-day class exploring the evidence in showing how Yoga practice, being in a class of people doing Yoga, can help improve and increase resilience to traumatic events as well as reduce reactivity around post-traumatic events. Class included reviews of simple movement, breath, and meditation techniques that may be beneficial.
