I believe that the integration of yoga and physiotherapy can provide a more holistic and empowering rehabilitation approach to those suffering from a variety of conditions. I focus on helping those struggling with persistent (chronic) pain, pelvic health conditions and professional burnout. I believe that cultivating meaningful connections, compassion and joy can be powerful contributors to recovery and well-being.
As a physiotherapist and yoga therapist who has integrated yoga into my physiotherapy practice since 1998, I believe that this integration of yoga into modern healthcare can provide a more holistic and empowering rehabilitation approach to those suffering from a variety of conditions. I focus on enhancing care for people struggling with persistent (chronic) pain, pelvic health conditions and professional burnout. I also teach at universities and yoga therapy schools, present at yoga therapy and medical conferences internationally, contribute to academic research, provide mentorship to health professionals and offer onsite and online continuing education courses on a variety of topics.
I am Founder of Prosko PhysioYoga www.physioyoga.ca and co-editor/co-author of the textbook “Yoga and Science in Pain Care: Treating the Person in Pain” with Singing Dragon Publishers.
