About Me

I align the ancient teachings of Kundalini Yoga with modern medicine. Under the guidance of Yogi Bhajan I developed and direct the 1,000 hour IAYT accredited International Kundalini Yoga Therapy Professional Training. My Kundalini Yoga program for people living with HIV is featured in the book, Yoga as Medicine, by Timothy McCall, and my groundbreaking work as a Kundalini Yoga Therapist is featured in the book, Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine: Where Ancient Science Modern Medicine.

My approach to Yoga

My work aligns the ancient teachings of Kundalini Yoga with modern medicine as Founding Director of the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine & Humanology. Under the guidance of Yogi Bhajan I developed and direct the 1,000 hour IAYT accredited International Kundalini Yoga Therapy Professional Training.

In 1986 I began to specialize in teaching Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to people with chronic or life threatening illness and their family members. My work is subtle and impactful in helping a person feel better, get better and stay better. In our sessions we address structural, physiological, emotional and spiritual aspects toward a full recovery and a compelling life you want to be well for.

I am a Certified Yoga Therapist, a Medical Family therapist, and a charter member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

My Kundalini Yoga program for people living with HIV is featured in the book, Yoga as Medicine by Timothy McCall, MD, and her groundbreaking work as a Kundalini Yoga Therapist is featured in the book, Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine: Where Ancient Science Modern Medicine.

My Yoga Qualifications

A Kundalini Yoga teacher since 1971, I began to specialize in teaching Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to people with chronic or life threatening illness and their family members in 1986, under the direction of Yogi Bhajan. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, a PhD in Health Psychology and am a licensed Clinical Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. Am a Certified Yoga Therapist and developed and direct the International Kundalini Yoga Therapy Professional Training.

The International Kundalini Yoga Therapy Professional Training prepares Yoga Teachers to gain the knowledge and skills to provide Yoga Therapy. As part of this we offer Yoga Therapy clinical services, research and professional training for licensed medical providers.
