In 2002 I started my Yoga Therapy journey while living in the UK. After moving back to the US, I continued expanding my Yoga Therapy business. In 2012, I started working for a major fitness company and have explored a wide variety of Yoga styles, themes and deliveries. Here is where I’ve seen that Yoga IS achievable for so many students if equipped with knowledge of how to adapt. Not all Yoga classes are for everyone, but there are opportunities with help.
I have worked with students to help them with back pain, postural issues, stability and mobility after a major accident, fibromyalgia and other general physical limitations. Working with the senior population is also tied to this work. Currently, I work with students who want to take Yoga at their local health club or studio but need a strategy to adapt to general classes with confidence. Many classes, although available, are not always achievable. Working with adaptation and modifications to a variety of postures, may offer opportunities in a health club environment dependent on overall health and mobility.
